Navadvipa Mandala Parikrama:Day 6

I n the early morning devotees took a boat to Rudradvipa.

The most expected boat ride in the Holy Ganges, specially for those who joined Parikrama for first time (many!) happened today. It is a dream of lifetime to be here in the place which you hear since the first time you join ISKCON…” the Ganges, Mayapur the birthplace of Sankirtan, Kalpa Vrikshas (desire trees)and a very peaceful life with Lord’s names in the center. In Navadvipa dhama you can witness real village life, the total nature’s connection and the Ganges has a crucial role in it.

Everything is sacred, and everyone is serving Krsna according to their capacity.. the dhamvasis see it and live according to it, that’s why their so special people.

We are learn a lot just by watching them and get their kindness their gentle smiles and glances.. it changes us forever, it inspires us to simplify our lives and start to live our principles.

The process corresponding to Rudradvipa island is  sakhyam, becoming a friend of the Lord.

Here is where Vishnuswami had the darshan of both Lord Shiva and Lord Gauranga and thus became empowered as the acarya of the Rudra smapradaya which is one of the four bona fide sampradayas. First the boats landed at Nidoya ghat . HH Bhakti Chaitanya Maharaja explained the pastime of Nidaya.

There were rumors throughout Navadvipa that Nimai Pandita was going to take sannyasa. This news pertubed mother Saci’s heart very much. Aggrived she addressed her son: ” Oh Nimai, please don’t leave your poor Mother. First your brother, Visvarupa, left, then my husband and now if you leave, I will be all alone”. Mahaprabhu replied:” My dear mother, I must do this. This is an essential part of the mission which I have come to accomplish.” Maharaja  continues: ” Just like Lord Krishna left Vrindavan and thus gave the Brajabasis love for Him in separation which is the highest, Lord Gauranga left Navadvipa. It was from that very Nidaya ghat, that Mahaprabu left to Katwa where he took sannyasa from Keshava Bharati.( “Ni” means “no” and “daya” means mercy). This katha was held at the Radha Madhava Jiu temple.

The Gauranga deity of that temple is the deity which Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakur used to chant his 300.000 holy names in front of, during his vrata of chanting 1 billion names.

After hearing about all these deep topics the Delhi devotees played a drama which made everyone to roll on the ground in laughter. The drama was about Shankara Acarya and his preaching of Mayavada all over India. When he reached this Rudradvipa Mahaprabhu appeared to him.

We had a very special evening with two great personalities giving class, one is Lokanath Swami, the Parikrama co chairman with HH Jayapataka Swami and another one is Sankarshan Nitai prabhu, the brain behind all the Parikrama management.

Both classes were very very inspired to the devotees, to had such wonderful association.

Lokanath Swami Maharaj spoke about Srila Bhaktisiddanta Sarasvati’s first Parikrama 100 years ago, how it was so great with 10 thousand pilgrims, elephants a dozens of kirtan parties. He welcomed all the chinese devotees and Russian devotees telling them that it was predicted by Bhaktivinoda Thakur, their presence in Navadvipa dhama and this is a very special time, because it is happening now!

Sankarshan Nitai prabhu spoke so nicely about how Kali Yuga is such a crazy age with all bad things and how Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu is giving the most wonderful process of hear and chanting. He made all the devotees laugh telling them how we are not charitable in Kali Yuga at all. He finalised his speech by telling the devotees that Caitanya Caritamrta means “CC” and

gave a different meaning for CC,    and cooperation, that we should

performed our devotional service and a humble mood and we should not offend the devotees, otherwise our heart will be contaminated with he desire for sense gratification.
