Sravana Utsava!

“In the association of pure devotees, discussion of the pastimes and activities of the Supreme Personality of Godhead is very pleasing and satisfying to the ear and the heart. By cultivating such knowledge one gradually becomes advanced on the path of liberation, and thereafter he is freed, and his attraction becomes fixed. Then real devotion and devotional service begin”.- SBG 3.25.27

For the first time in Mayapur, we will be celebrating a FESTIVAL OF HEARING- SRAVAN UTSAVA, beginning from tomorrow!

Srila Prabhupada wanted everyone to visit Mayapur during Gaura Purnima to recharge their spiritual batteries, in the association of devotees, by engaging in the nine process of devotional service in the holy dhama.  Taking the opportunity of GBC meetings, where in all the ISKCON Sanysis, leaders congregate at Mayapur, ISKCON Mayapur has organized this Sravan Utsav for the benefit of devotees, a chance to hear non-stop Krishna katha for the next five days.

We shall also be serving FREE LUNCH & DINNER PRASADA on these days to participants of the Sravan Utsava.

If you are unable to be in Mayapur, still you can benefit by serving these wonderful vaisnavas- “mahat–sevam dvaram ahur vimuketas”- by rendering service to the devotees, one can get liberation from the path of material bondage. You can offer lunch (Rs.60,000) or dinner prasada (Rs.40,000) for Sravan utsav . Only one day  lunch prasad seva is yet to be sponsored and 4 days  for dinner prasada seva are available.
